I don’t think I’ve ever come across some software where the documentation, and online help, is so inconsistent with what I actually see in v2026.8.3.
I’m trying to edit a dashboard to add a gauge but firstly I cannot see the “three dots menu” on the dashboard, if I instead click the “pencil” I get a “Update area” dialog rather than the page to add cards.
WHat on earth am I doing wrong?
You are probably trying to Edit one of the Pre-Build Dashboards. ( i.e Overview , Which You really can’t )
If You go to /Settings/Dashboards You can Create a New Dashboard, which is most likely what you want to Use
But You could paste a “Screenshot” so people can see what you mean, by getting an “Update Area”
If You want to Edit(Update) An Area, the best Options is in /Settings/Area,Labels & Zones
