With Matter devices, how can I make sure I can find out later which device in Home Assistant corresponds to the device I have in front of me? There are no MAC addresses printed on them, only the commissioning code. (Also, the “MAC address” I see in Home Assistant doesn’t look like a MAC address and I can’t search devices by this “MAC address” either.) I also usually write sequential numbers on the devices when I set them up, but there is no place in HA to put those. Is it a good idea to write the Node ID on the device?
for matter wiz lamp, usually they have diagnostic button called identify to start some sort of blinking pattern. Each manufacturer have different way to identify their device, so can you tell me what did you want to achieve with identifying matter devices ?
It is also the other way around.
You have the device and need to identify it in HA, like when you have 10 temotes and need to find the device you have physical in your hand.

oh right, remote. afaik there is no way to identify that yet other than testing each device one by one
