Hi folks, I am new to the forum and Home Assistant. I have a Raspberry Pi 5 running the 64 bit Pi OS. I am using this as an SMB server on my network. I started following the tutorial for installation but the installation for Raspberry Pi basically re-images my sd card with the Home Assistant OS. So is it possible to either install the Home assistant on my existing Pi OS or if the Home Assistant OS is Linux can I run my SMB server on it? Any other recommendations or tips are much appreciated.
Other recommendation if you aren't managing a huge SMB tree...
HAOS and use the Samba SMB 'App' and share your files there.
Or use proxmox that way you can easily run HAOS, along side whatever smb server or NAS software you want.
