How to integrate Wyze v3 into HA/Questions about docker bridge

Hello, all,

I am relatively new to HA and want to integrate my Wyze Cam v3 into my HA install. I’ve looked into it, and it seems there are two main options: Install RTSP on the camera via MicroSD, or install the Docker Wyze Bridge from HACS. However, RTSP seems to be “under construction” by Wyze and files are not available. I’ve tried the Docker Wyze Bridge, configuring my username, password, api ID, and api key in both the Web UI and under the configuration tab under “unused options” or whatever it’s called. However, it never seems to work. From my understanding, it should just put a still image on the dashboard. However, when configured, it doesn’t do that for me. In the Web UI it also doesn’t confirm that I’ve logged in at all, however after I press the confirm button it seems like it does something (it looks like it reloads the page). Has anyone had any luck with this? Thanks for all your help.

I use RTSP and the generic camera integration. You can enable RTSP using wz_mini_hacks.

Thanks for your help, I hadn’t known about this! Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it supports my firmware yet. I’m sure it will be updated sometime, but I don’t know how frequently it is updated or if it can keep up the latest version. I’ll keep an eye on it though. Is there any other option potentially?

I figured it out - it seems that Wyze just recently released the RTSP files for Wyze Cam v3 and v3 Pan as a beta feature. I used the Generic Camera feature after setting up RTSP on the camera.
