How to learn how to create a third party integration

I have an integration I would like to create, but I don’t really know where or how to start.

This is the API

Is this an achievable undertaking for someone who has never done something like this? I have a lot of experience implementing systems using integrations built by other people, including commercial integration experience, but I’ve never tried anything like this.
