Thinking of using ratgdo with liftmaster 8500w to get about 6" of opening. Issue is door could be lifted further without some sort of physical limit because only the weight of the door is keeping it down. I could put a block on the track but then if the opener hits it it could automatically reverse. I tried a block on the track with the wall button (don’t have ratgdo yet) and I could stop the door partially open and close it if it was opened over about a foot. But for short openings it got a over force error when reaching the floor and reversed wanting to fully open again. Think the short time from starting moving is an issue. Going to try to redo the travel limits to avoid that. It’s really a liftmaster issue rather than anything to do with home assistant but thought others might have come up with ways to do restricted stops for small openings.
