How to prevent annoying push notification about location when phone is stationary?

Hi

Every 10-15 minutes I get a push notification about some location change (in dutch).

Location change
Current location delivery triggered via background fetch

this is annoying as I dont move the phone in that time but it still pings me.

The HA app does that? On what kind of phone?

I use Android and never get a notification from the official HA app.

on IOS…

in dutch the message says:

Locatieverandering
huidige locatie levering geactiveerd via achtergrond ophalen!

You can turn this off in App Settings -> Location.

What setting exactly only turns off the annoying messages? All I see are settings to turn off the update action itself, but I want the app to sent updates, i just don’t have to get a notification about it every time…

same here? any way to not receive the msg but xontinue refresh the location?

I still have this question too after reading this post a few times. In my Iphone in setting i can change the background refresh (switch it off) but i don’t want to switch it off. I just don’t want these annoying messages. Can anyone explain it a bit more detailed please?
Thanks a lot for the effort,

in the Home Assistant iOS app, go to Settings > Companion App > Notifications > Debug > Location Notifications - and turn off the notifications categories you don’t want to receive, without turning off actual Location tracking.

Thanks! That is a clear answer.
