How to prevent home assistant from crash when modbus com fails?

i have found out that if the modbus integrations fails to get answers from a modbus hub( ex. no response from host) over time or x amount of tries home assistant crashes and most of the time i have to make the raspberry powerless and then restart. Is there any way to stop or restart modbus when for example the modbus ip adress changes and untill i have changed it manually the modbus integration stops tryin…

hope you understand the problem

Hello!

I have the same problem. When I turn off my pv inverter which is connected to HA via Modbus then Home Assistant hangs itself after about 1 day and the only solution to access it again is turn off and on the Raspberry HA is running on. Seems to be a severe bug and a kind of time bomb for everyone using Modbus.

Same issue here. Over the night my inverter turns off. In the morning, modbus is not restarting the collection of metrics, unless I restart Home Assistant. Any ideas on how we can solve it?
