A few years ago I bought a Tuya wall switch and successfully paired it with HA via localtuya. It worked great for years, so well that I completely forgot how I paired it.
I realized that the robot vacuum that wanders in the apartment is a Tesvor S5 Max, a Tuya device. I would like to connect it to HA to automate the cleaning when there is nobody home.
My problem: I do not know how to do it without breaking the existing switch, which is our bedroom switch and if it does not work I will be in serious trouble.
What I have:
- localtuya configured with one device
- access to
platform.tuya.comwhere I see one cloud project but the “Devices” tab is empty. I see Home Assistant in the “Authorization” tab, though. - an app for the robot, which I do not really need (I think)
What is the safest way to regain control over the switch (which I guess means seeing it in the cloud project?), and add the robot?
