I have deleted a couple of the cameras in my Blink system, but after two days of Googling, I still cannot figure out how to remove them from HA. This seems like such a basic function, that I feel I must be missing something obvious. I also plan to rename a few of them, and I suspect the process for that will be similar, but haven’t tried it yet. Is there a way for the Blink integration to refresh its list of cameras?
Version: core-2025.6.1
Installation type: Home Assistant OS
Have you tried deleting the integration and adding it again?
That sounds like the nuclear option, which would have other consequences for things that use that integration. Shouldn’t there be a way to remove specific cameras that no longer exist on the Blink platform?
Did you try using the reload function available under the 3 dot button menu for the integration?
Blink is cloud based so the devices are being provided by Blink platform, not HA. Ensure no automations or scripts still use those non-existent devices.
Not at all. As long as you haven’t modified the device names it should have them back when you add it again.
Yes, I tried the reload. That did not do anything for this issue. Blink cloud has removed the camera, but HA Blink integration does not recognize the change and also does not give any way in the UI to remove the device.
BTW, I did delete and and reinstall the integration, and that did it. But that is a really ugly way to do it. I have to reauthorize, then go through each camera and redo the Area designation. I have a lot of cameras, and some I move around and rename. There should be a way to refresh the list and handle any adds/deletes/changes.
