How to resolve "brcmfmac" and "usbhid" errors post HA bootup?

Good day. I’m currently using Raspberry Pi 5 8GB that starts HAOS 15.2 Core 2025.5.3 via NVMe M.2 SSD Gen3 256 GB instead of 32GB MicroSD but encountering series of error messages after bootup …

  • brcmfmac: brcmf_set_channel: set chanspec 0x100 fail, reason -52
  • usbhid 3-2.1:1.1: couldn’t find an input interrupt endpoint

I do appreciate if anyone encountered similar issues and how to resolve it. Thank you in advance and have a nice day.

Best regards … Mac

That is an issue with the WiFi card and might not affect the basic functions of the card.

This is related to some connected USB device.

Hello Mac,

Is the PI’s firmware up to date?

Hi Wally … good day and thank you for the feedback about the stated issue, it is noted. … The only USB connected to my Raspberry Pi 5 is the KVM connection, while NVMe M.2 SSD is using PCIe. I believe the WiFi features is internal to Raspberry Pi 5 though.

Hi Sir_Goodenough … thank you for the response and query. The last update had done for the Pi’s Firmware is prior installing HAOS. Is there a best approach to verify and update the Pi’s Firmware without uninstalling HAOS ? … currently, my HAOS Core is 2025.6.1 just updated upon this writing … OS is 15.2. Appreciate your kind advise anytime soon.

If you don’t use the Wifi, you can disable it.
