How to set static MAC address for HA OS on UGreen NAS Virtual Machine

Hello!

On a Ugreen NAS, with a Virtual Machine build from HA OS, is it possible to set a static MAC Address for the VM?

I have installed HA OS on my Ugreen NAS Virtual Machine. If my VM or Ugreen NAS restarts, my HA OS Virtual Machine is assigned a dynamic MAC Address. I’d like to set a static IP for my HA OS virtual machine on my Orbi 7 router, but it is only valid when the MAC Address is the key I use to map the static IP to.

Any ideas or work arounds are appreciated. Thank you!

That’s dependent on Ugreen and if that supports it or not. A workaround is setting a static IP in HA, if your IP is within the scope of your DHCP you can create a dummy reservation on that IP.
