What’s the best path for configuring a custom python script to run daily on an HA Box (Intel NUC)?
I’m transitioning from generic IP cameras to UniFi Protect, but due to supply constraints, I haven’t yet been able to acquire all of the cameras I need for UniFi. As an interim step, I’m trying to use Unifi-Cam-Proxy to make UniFi Protect think these older cameras are UniFi. I’ve got this working via Ubuntu on Windows 10, but I’m thinking it’d be best to push the proxy to my HA box so it runs when HA runs. How would you go about setting this up on the HA box without really impacting the HA OS?
Or are there alternative approaches I haven’t yet considered?
The goal here is to take a few older camera RTSP streams and get them into UniFi Protect so I can have all cameras via the same solution (and within HA).
