How to start music only when i shower

Hi to everyone,

I’m new to HA, so maybe there is a better way to make what i’m planning. Feel free to help. PS, english is not my language.

So, in my bathroom i’ve got a xiaomi clock who also do temperature and humidity sensor, and a bluetooth radio. I’ve set them, see the data, and since few days i’ve made this automation,
“When the humidity goes over 45% start the radio”,
But my bathroom is very dry, and sometimes the humidity % is at 30%, sometimes if there is clothes drying,or the weather, it will be much higher.

What i want to do is
“is humidity gain X% (for the exemple), in less than Xmin, then start the radio” and i would like to also made the same for shutdown the radio
“if humidity lost X% in Xminutes then pause the radio”

Is it possible to make somethings like that ?

Sounds like you probably want to set up a derivate sensor based on your bathroom humidity, then use that as the base for the triggers of your automation.

Now i just need to tweak the data for the fastest activation, and figure which value use for shutdown the device.

I am thinking of doing something similar myself, or rather if music is already playing, increase the volume slightly so it is not drowned out by the sound of falling water. :slight_smile:
