i have three old pv inverters from sma 2x sb 3000 and 1x sb 4000tl/20 . i read about installing piggy backs and using modbus to get the data to home assistant. but the piggy backs are hard to get.
are there other methods to track the data from the inverters which are easy to integrate into ha without using any cloud?
You could install power meters to determine the inverter outputs.
IoTaWatt is popular but probably overkill for a couple of circuits, unless you have other things in the switchboard you would like to monitor.
The SMA energy meter is terribly inaccurate. Dont use it.
Shelly EM or PM are great.
There are lots of DIY current clamp options too, e.g. ESPHome and PZEM clamps.
This one here (esphome based) looks like a interesting newcomer

Sells for around $60 with 6 ct clamps included.
