How / where to report a bug

Hi all, I’m new (been using it for about 2 weeks) and have found a “design flaw” after reinstalling a clean install of supervised home assistant on a VM.

I tried to recreate what i had previously installed in my old install, and just could not get the custom cards to load. the frontend lovelace cards such as the custom button card would install fine, but hacs wasn’t adding the resource to my lovelace dashboard settings.
Doing the research taught me that this had to do with yaml mode and storage mode…
Now the flaw (imho) is that i started my clean install with creating a new dashboard. I DID take control of that and started with an empty dashboard. But still nothing was added by hacs…
Hacs ONLY works properly if you “take control” of the dashboard called OVERVIEW.
I completely ignored that dashboard as i found it handy to have a dashboard that showed all my entities and didn’t want it to change…
So now i “took control” of the OVERVIEW dashboard and everything works fine…

Why am i forced to take control of the OVERVIEW dashboard in order for hacs to add resources to the lovelace setting?
Shouldn’t it do that also when i don’t change the default OVERVIEW and just create a new dashboard and take control of that?

Or am i missing something?

As it is the custom integration HACS that has the issue, you report it here:
