I’ve been reading through previous threads on HoyMiles solar panels & the s-Miles api, but I’m stuck. I see there has been activity about retrieving the data locally using the DTU wifi, but presumably I would need to connect HA to the DTU SSID in order to do this, which would mean that it is no longer connected to my LAN so no other HA functions will work. I had somebody install Hoymiles Gateway a year or two ago but it has since stopped working… I know nothing about coding, sorry. What is the easiest way to show up my HoyMiles total solar energy in HA, please, and how?
Hi, has something changed on your local network?
Another ISP, router; WiFi access point, WiFi password?
No, nothing has changed. I think,it best to start again from scratch as it was never reliable and kept cutting out.
TBH: I have no clue how that DTU works.
If it has a client and access point mode, it should be in the right setting to be able to use it.
As a client, it will connect to your WiFi network and if configured correctly, it will pass data to your HA
As an access point, you can connect a tablet, phone, pc with WiFi to it but in this mode it will have it’s own WiFi settings (SSID & password)
This AP mode is for configuring, accessing but not to be implemented in an existing wireless network.
