Hub for Aqara Devices

Getting back in to the home automation scene and thinking about some Aqara temperature and humdlidity sensors. I notice most of the listing say Aqara hub required. I am planning on using the sensors with home assistant and eventually dumping the data into MariaDB and plotting using Grafana. Can I use the Aqara hub to integrate these sensors with Home Assistant or do I need a different Zigbee hub? Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can use the Aqara hub to integrate the sensors. But I would recommend to use deCONZ or Zigbee2MQTT so you can add other sensors and devices from other brands if you want in the future.

Just skip the aqara/xiaomi hub and use a deConz och Sonoff zigbee dongle for your setup.

I have a stack of those, connected via Zigbee2MQTT and a CC2652 based adapter (the Sonoff-P currently, though I’ve also got a Zig-A-Zig-Ah!).

Zero need for any hub, and you open up a much wider world of possibilities.

Hi, I am having trouble with my aqara sensors (PIR and door) they continually disconnect from my zigbee network (sonoff dongle 3.0 and Zigbee2mqtt), thinking about buying an aqara hub to integrate this aqara sensors and then conecting them through home kit integration into home assistant

Do you guys have any thoughts on this? Any recomendations?

What Zigbee routers do you have? If the answer is none then that’s your problem.

I am using a bunch of sonoff relays, some tuya lights and lonsonho switches

All this brands work very good with each other, but not aqara

I have same setup with sonoff dongle 3.0 P version. I bought two Aqara P1 motion sensors and have same issue that they disconnect after a few hours. My solution is to return and get something else. I got a Hue motion sensor which is supposed to work good with this setup.
