Has anybody else seen similar to this? I have 6 v1 Hue Dimmers and one of them, which had a new battery in October, started going 3% to 80% to 3% about a week ago. I’ve not had issues with any before. This particular dimmer rarely gets used - less than once a week, so it’s not like the battery is “coming back” once it’s pressed. I assume it’s caused by the cheap batteries I buy from Amazon.
I normally check batteries with this card only:
But, thanks for nothing [chuckle], you made me look. These two dimmer batteries have concerned me in the past, but the dimmers been running fine for 5 years. I’ve changed batteries in each of them twice in that time - battery level was below 50%, but I don’t think I really needed to change them at the time.
This history below shows where I used the kitchen dimmer to reset a bunch of bulbs and drained the battery, but it appears to have recovered. I don’t get how that works, but there you go.
I wouldn’t worry about this.
