I’ve moved all my Hue stuff over to ZHA, including my RWL021 remotes. I can’t seem find a blueprint where all the buttons work. I’ve resorted to using one blueprint, zhahueremote/hue_dimmer_switchV2, for the dimming and a 2nd, sandervv/ZHA - Hue Dimmer Fully Configurable, to run scenes for the On and Off buttons.
Anyone else had a similar problem ?
I’m using zigbee2mqtt, so I don’t have a blueprint that I can recommend.
but if you’re using Hue bulbs, and you want on / off / dimming to work, you can bind the remote directly to individual bulbs or a group in ZHA. Not only will dimming be way smoother, but it will work even with Home Assistant offline. And, nothing stops you from creating an automation or finding a blueprint later (for example, to also manage a light at the same time that’s not zigbee).
Setting Up Zigbee Bindings • Home Assistant - ZHA | Inovelli Help Center is probably the best tutorial I know of for this with ZHA (even though it’s not exact as it’s using their switch).
I found this Blueprint to work for my Hue dimmers using Z2MQTT, but it also has a ZHA configuration option. I can’t speak to it working with the RWL021 (I have RWL022’s), but if you haven’t encountered this Blueprint yet, it may be worth checking out.
