Hue Dimmer Switch (v1) with ZHA doesn't work

I’ve decided to migrate my Hue network into ZHA and get rid of the Hue Bridge. But I encounter problems with my Hue Dimmer Switches. When adding them (10s pin insert, green led then red/green) they keep configuration and they don’t work within Home Assistant.

Did I miss something?

How you check ‘dont work’? Device is not the problem

I made an automation for button presses and they never get fired. There isn’t any other way to verify it works right?

I have the same device info as you though. My LQI is lower and my rssi is less.

on the device page, the log book will show events:

just open page and press buttons, it should show them all there.

There is nothing to see. Except my repairing. And yes I have pressed buttons

Delete and pair again probably. Be as close as you can to the coordinator. and pls details HA version/HAOS version/Coordinator brand/type

That did the trick! Well, I’m sure what exactly… remove-repair or close to the coordinator.
Thanks!

no problem, it’s always good to be able to exclude some params

It is, and because Zigbee is sometime so vague I do not always know where to start…

Was happy too soon… moving the dimmer to the room it worked a couple of times and then it went away (button press is a red led). And the status turned to “vervallen”, which means lost or dropped.

then your ‘mesh’ needs some help. Can you see the device on ‘visualisation’ in ZHA configure subscreen?

It’s there (blue) and the red one is a motion sensor, which I see I have to repair again too.

Also, pressing the buttons still is doing nothing and signalling a red led flash on the remote…

interesting, moving around the house might help to find its route again. Also popping the battery and reinsert might do the same trick.

No luck…

Also the Hue Motion sensor are unreliable as f*ck! :frowning: Deleted and paired them all for a second time. They are unavailable or just do nothing. What a crappy stuff without a Hue bridge :frowning:

Also very weird that the motion sensors do not trigger motion, but do trigger occupancy…

there is also the ‘4 button’ press to make the device do a reset on some issues. I do recall a bit of same behavior which in the end disappeared for me.
