HVAC Control & Integration of Internorm Window Sensors into HA

Good afternoon all,

I hope this is the right category here.

We are in the process of building our new apartment (in Austria) and electrical work starts in February/March. I am trying to understand how I could integrate the control for the floor heating, A/C and blinds. For the floor heating our electrician told me currently there is no Thermostate planned but only a simple Switch to turn the floor heating in the Living Room on and off. He said, he usually builds in a “PT1000” sensor if a thermostate is required. This is pretty much all the information I have been able to gather on this topic.

For the A/C I currently have no information about the model yet, do you have any suggestions which can be integrated / controlled with Home Assistant? As far as I know they will offer LG which I think has a Wifi option available?

For the blinds I currently have the choice of two motors, Elero and Somfy - unfortunately I dont’ understand enough about electronics (yet) to know what I would need to get the blinds speak with Home Assistant.

I also ordered all windows (Internorm KF410) with sensors (open, close, tilted) but I also don’t exactly know how I would get that sensor information into Home Assistant yet.

Just having some internorm windows installed with the blinds so wondered if you had any luck integrating into HA ?

hi John,

well I ended up using Fibaro and have integrated the windows using their smart implants. However, one of my next projects is to actually add all of Fibaro into HA as its more flexible.

@ip-stivi Wondering if the Internorm windows have 1 or 2 sensors - would like to know status of the window Open/closed Tilted/Not tilted locked/unlocked … this is so that that blinds dont come down if the window is open or tilted. Not much technical data out there on their open/close sensors.

Hi Stefan,
I think about integrating my Internorm blinds into a smart home system. Did you succeed in integrating them in Home Assistant after all, or are you still using Fibaro?
Did Fibaro have any difficulties in recieving/transmitting the I-tec radio protocol?
