HVAC integration - any suggestion?

I’m going to buy Air Conditioner system and would love to know if there is any with easy integration with HA and providing the sensor / commands for then to automatize in HA.
Any suggestion ?

If you go with “Mitsubishi Heat Pumps” when best is mitsubishi2MQTT and HeatPump.
Easy to integrate and create any automations.
Check this link before buying List your unit types that work
NO manufacturer’s API, everything is local.

I think any system which can use a “normal” thermostat can be automated.

Just buy a “smart” thermostat for which there is an integration in HA. My cooling system is running a Honeywell smart thermostat and I control it with the HA Honeywell integration.

The problem is most smart thermostats require the use of the manufacturer’s cloud solution. The HA integration then uses the manufacturer’s API. I’d much rather have HA control the thermostat directly, without having to route everything across the internet and through some remote manufacturer’s server.

You can of course build your own control system using relays and ESP devices or whatever, but it turns out there is a surprising amount of coding involved. Modern smart thermostats do a lot more than just switch the system on or off when a temperature threshold is reached.

Maybe with the TUYA integration will have more options … (?)

i have airzone with airzone custom component, works awesome

Hi ukro.

I just started with HA. Unfortunately Airzone is not auto-discovered.
I saw you integrated it.
Can I ask you whether you face the same problem?

i went for cloud custom component, working fine.

I tried this but I got this error:

I have made a fork of this repository with a small change and it already works (although I really don’t know if my change affects any part of the plugin’s operation):
