Hi everyone,
I recently made the switch from Hyperion to HyperHDR for my ambient lighting setup. I was genuinely surprised to see there still wasn’t a fully-featured integration for Home Assistant, so I made one myself. It’s certainly far from perfect, but at least it’s something (and it’s working really well for me right now).
To be completely transparent: I am not a developer. I built this custom integration heavily relying on AI because I desperately needed it for my own setup and wanted to share it.
You can find the repository and installation instructions here:
GitHub - tenda96/hyperhdr_integration_homeassistant: Native Home Assistant integration for HyperHDR. Controls LEDs as a full Light Entity with Effects support and intelligent Priority Management to auto-switch seamlessly between the USB Grabber and Home Assistant. · GitHub
I strongly encourage you to try it out and leave feedback, advice, or open issues on GitHub. Since I’m not a pro coder, please keep in mind that it might take me a little while to figure out how to fix things if they break, but any suggestion is incredibly useful and I’ll do my best!
I hope this helps some of you complete your setups!
