I bought ZBT-1 for Thread devices
I bought SONOFF for Zigbee
and I bought 1 more usb for ZWAVE.
My first step is to add ZBT-1 as Thread , I add it via USB.
Home assistant automaticly recognize it and I get ZBT-1 when i click add it ask me Zigbee or Thread I click Thread and i get this error:
The radio firmware on your Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 could not be determined. Make sure that no other integration or addon is currently trying to communicate with the device. If you are running Home Assistant OS in a virtual machine or in Docker, please make sure that permissions are set correctly for the device.
I tried to reboot Home assistant few times always same error.
I updated Home assistant to last update today.
How to get to ZBT-1 be my main Thread router to can add AQARA U200 to HA.
I don’t want to use Smartthings for Thread router I want to get off of Samsung too many lags with their server.
UPDATE: After error I don’t see ZBT-1 device in System Hardware list , and when i restart HA always ask me to add again ZBT-1 and same error message.
Well I didint still plugin zwave and sonoff for zigbee so Its only usb plugged in.
I tried directly to HA Green and I tried with my own dlink usb extender.
I didin’t use orginal cabel what I get with ZBT-1 I think that is not problem.
So I tried on 2 different USB ports too, always same error.
I didint still try to add him as Zigbee to see is that ok, maybe to try add it as Zigbee and then somehow change to thread ?
Make sure that you have the openthread border router and matter add-on’s installed and silicon labs firmware flasher add-on installed. The latter will be used to revert the zbt-1 back to zigbee mode in the future if you need to.
The reason for the error about the radio firmware is that you need to make sure its not being used by ZHA or Z2MQTT so that it can be flashed when selecting thread mode with it.
If you are still having issues with the stick then you may need to return it for replacement.
On matter addon you think on Matter Service that is only available in add-on ?
Btw… I didint add 1 device I get new HA green and plugin Connect ZBT-1 into usb. I didnt choose ZHA or add any device.
Btw… I bought this dongle before few days from Hashop.nl , so I hope they didint send me ZBT1 known defective what was before few months.
