I don't understand DOODS2 - why is there a default config, and yet when you want to run an automation, you need to create that new one?

The title: I have DOODS2 configured, it’s super cool. I even trained a model specifically for my use case. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to increase the processing rate based on a trigger.

I have it configured to scan a camera image 1 time per minute. Which is fine for the majority of the day. But once sun sets, I wan the analysis to run every second for about 1 hour.

I am totally baffled why this is so hard for me to configure, but it seems my only options are to run it once/sec all the time, or to just deal with a super slow response time for detections.

Anyone have any insight here? I’m guessing the prevailing advice is to just switch to frigate, but I finally got DOODS working, so I am hesitant to start all over again.

Thanks guys! I have a super cool project I’m working on and I really want it to work before I share!
