I have problems with the installation of the Bosch SHC integration

Hello everyone.
I’m experiencing issues with installing the Bosch SHC integration (GitHub - tschamm/boschshc-hass: Home Assistant component for accessing Bosch Smart Home Controller using boschshcpy python library.) in Home Assistant.
Hardware I’m using:

  • Smart Home Controller II
  • Radiator Thermostat II

My goal is to manage the thermostats both from the Bosch Smart Home app, which offers advanced temperature and routine management, and from Home Assistant, allowing me to control them directly from my dashboards.

When I purchased these products, I saw that the hub supported Matter, so I assumed integration would be easy. However, I later discovered that the system is quite closed. After several failed pairing attempts, I contacted Bosch support, and they replied:
"We confirm that direct integration of the Bosch Smart Home Controller II with other Matter ecosystems is not currently possible.
To answer your questions, the controller II does in fact provide a ‘Matter bridge’ which converts the signals from the Zigbee 3.0 connection standard into the IP Matter standard.
In this case, the controller II in the Smart Home ecosystem acts as a connection bridge.
You can then make some Smart Home devices visible in other Matter systems.
As you will have noticed, Amazon Alexa is an official partner, so direct integration is possible in the same way as with Apple Home Kit or Google Assistant”

At this point, I looked for an alternative approach and tried the official Bosch SHC integration in Home Assistant. Unfortunately, the thermostats were recognized only as sensor entities and not as climate entities.
I then tried this custom integration:

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to make it work. I thought the issue might be related to my Home Assistant version being too recent, as the last compatible version mentioned was 2021.1.5. So, I attempted to install this older version, but without success.

The current situation and that of integration that is not configured correctly and shows the following error:

What I have tried so far:

  • Reinstalling the integration by HACS
  • Testing different versions of Home Assistant
  • Testing different versions of HACS
  • Checking file configuration permissions

Despite all my attempts, I haven’t found a solution yet.

I hope I have been clear about the problems I have encountered. I am open to any solution, as long as it allows me to use both the original Bosch app and Home Assistant.
If anyone who works would like to tell me their version of Home Assistant and HACS I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance for your help!
