I have two less USB ports

Heyhey
Im using HaOS on an intel nuc.
This PC has got 3 USB (version 3) ports.
One of them is used for an Homematic IP stick. On another one Ive got a mains powered USB switch, where my Sonoff Dongle E - for zigbee - is plugged in.
So one USB slot is remaining.

But I want to integrate a USV. Am not sure this is called in english that way.
USV means a mains powered battery that runs my HomeAssistant on battery, if the mains power is gone.
This guy has an USB connection to read its values.

And I want to get a newer nucki lock with matter over thread. (I do not have an existing matter network so far).
Ofcourse I can use this lock via mqtt (and via Wifi then), but I think it would be better to have it running vie Thread/Matter as I dont need the router running to get its data.
And im a big fan of zigbee, but sooner or later ill need a Matter network anyway.

So in short, I want to use 2 USB devices and have only one unused USB slot.
Is it any problem, if I use my USB hub to plug more than one device?

That would mean, a hub with multiple port right? why not use those ports?

Just get a cheap USB hub if you are short of USB ports.

In fact using an externally powered USB hub is recommended if you have many power hungry USB loads.

In English that is a “UPS”, or “Uninterruptible Power Supply”.

Yes. I do have a mains powered USB hub with multiple ports (4 ports I think), where actually only my zigbee stick is in.
I wasnt sure if its ok putting more devices (coordinators especially) into this hub.
As I need to tell homeassistant (or z2m and thread) the path of the coordinator (port: /dev/ttyUSB0) for example.
If I put 2 coordinators into the same USB hub this address is the same, isnt it?
This does not cause any conflicts?

That port can also change. Far better to use the USB serial id. See this topic: USB Port Serial Device Discovery

So no prpblem at all.
And I should change my naming in any case.
Thank you very much :))

If you allow there is one (offtopic) question, driving me crazy, as I cant find anything to it.
There are a lot of zigbee setup guides around, i think all of them can be used for thread, too. As its basically the same, I should have same problems (e.g. wifi interferance).
But I cant find anything concearning Zigbee and Thread parallel.
Thise two networks should interfere each other. Or is this no problem, aslong I use different channels?
Do you maybe know a link?

Thread use the same channel map as Zigbee.

I run Zigbee on channel 25, and Thread on channel 15. Works well.

Two as in one two?

Is it better?
