To charge our electric BMW (the integration no longer works) at our temporary home, I want to purchase a Type 2 16A-220V charging cable. To take advantage of the low energy tariffs in the Netherlands, I would like to be able to switch the charging cable on and off via Home Assistant. It would also be great to monitor the power consumption and charging progress.
So, I’m looking for a charging cable that supports integration via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. As an alternative, I could use a Shelly Pro 1PM to control it. But there are countless charging cables available, but I’m not sure which one to choose.
Does anyone have experience integrating a charging cable with Home Assistant?
