Hi every body!!
I’m trying to integrate Fing with HA, but I’m finding it a bit tricky – I wonder if anyone can figure out why.
As explained by Fing, I’ve installed the Fing agent in a Docker container running on a desktop Mac connected to my local network. It’s already been discovered via the Fing mobile app and added to the Fing system, where I have an account with an active subscription.
I have the Fing agent’s IP address, the API and the port it’s running on.
and I can access this Fing agent via a web browser:
But when I try to configure it IN HA, it always tells me it’s not possible; I enter the IP address both via HTTP and without:
It always gives me an error; if I search for the Fing agent in the list of devices on the network within the Fing app, it tells me that the IP and port details are correct, but nothing happens.
I should mention that my home assistant system is linked to a domain that I can access externally and has a security certificate installed, but I’m accessing Fing locally. In any case, I’ve opened port 44444 on my router to try and configure it via my external domain, but I still get the same error.
I remember that when I was setting up the Ecowitt weather station, I had to use a proxy [Ecowitt HTTP Proxy] to sort out a similar problem,
Any ideas??
Thanks for any help you can offer
