iAdaptAir AirOasis integration

Hi folks,

First post, please point me to the correct place if I am posting in the wrong category.

I have several AirOasis iAdaptAir smart air filters / purifiers, and I always wished them be integrated into HA. A few days ago I finally decided to do something about it. Brief results:

  1. I understood their app’s cloud protocol and was able to create a functional HA integration exposing auth and all main functions.
  2. The purifiers feature pluggable wifi modules which talk to the rest of the purifier over UART. Separately from “1.”, I was able to: a) sniff and understand the UART protocol; b) write a fully functional esphome-based replacement firmware for fully local control; c) re-flash the module.

It is all vibe-coded, so it was low effort, but it works well for me. Now, I am wondering if there is any interest in this from others. If so then I can polish this a bit and figure out how to share it (personal github repo? would manufacturers be happy?)

Also, which version would be more useful? (Personally I am staying with esphome version, but I would understand someone who doesn’t want to flash their device.)

Both?

I hope someone finds it helpful

And now I also have a zigbee replacement (a nRF52-based dev board) of the wifi module.
