Icon in top of tab vs. grouped

I have two different tabs and each have different behavior I’m hoping that someone can help me with!

Security:

  entities:
    - script.alarm_enable
    - script.alarm_disable

    - group.locks
    - group.interior_doors
    - group.exterior_doors
    - group.garage_overhead
    - group.motion_sensors
    - group.sirens

Tools:
  view: yes
  entities:
    - updater.updater
    - group.automation_overides
    - group.mobile_devices
    - group.on_demand
    - group.travel_times
    - group.transmission
    - group.speedtest

In the “Security” tab the two top scripts both get put into one group. In the “Tools” tab updater.updater becomes an icon. What gives and what am I missing?

I’m not sure why you’re even getting an icon.

Mine doesn’t even show up unless there is an update. It’s an update notification, not a script. It should only show if there is an update available

You’re right. It is only when there is an update.

Do you know why it is an icon?

Don’t know; did you put in a customize entry for it and declare an icon?
