ICSee without app?

I recently bought a ICSee 4MP Dual Lens WiFi IP Camera that requires the ICSee app to connect. When I bought it, I’m pretty sure I was reading something where I can install firmware from an sd card onto the camera so I can forgo the app part?

Is there a way to use these cameras without having to download an app, make an account, give them access to the camera, and change settings from their app instead of doing all that via home assistant?

Not sure about your specific model, but some with ICSee cameas have had luck with the OpenIPC firmware.

May have to open up the case to see what chip it has. Keep us apprised if you find anything.

In case it is onvif capable and got ethernet you are in luck :+1:

I saw ICSee branded cameras that advertised onvif capabilities in the past :movie_camera:

I couldn’t get ICSee to work, but I did get a random Amcrest from Micro Center, connected it to my router via ethernet, found the IP from my router page, logged in (admin/admin is the Amcrest default), changed the information, and used the Amcrest yaml configuration to connect to it and Onvif to see it without errors.

It’s not working super well, but I did connect to it without downloading any apps or making random accounts. Now it just doesn’t stay live and doesn’t show a live feed without me clicking on things.
