Identifying the CM4 in my Home Assistant Yellow

Greetings,

I am wondering if it were possible to identify the model of Raspberry Pi CM4 inside my Home Assistant Yellow without pulling it apart? I really don’t want to pull it apart… but want to know the model so I can order a similar CM4 unit for another project.

I know the Raspberry Pi model can be identified in the Raspbian command line, but haven’t been able to find a way to do it inside HA?

Any feedback appreciated.

Visually NO, you would have to pull the heat sink off to see the chip underneath it. Plus there is heat sink compound or the alike to aid in cooling of it.

This is how to tell what version of yellow (board): Hardware – Home Assistant Yellow

There is a section on the compute module with/without emmc (memory)

This is equivilant to what comes in the yellow, you can always increase the size of RAM and Storage if you want.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, that is what I am wanting to avoid. Disassembling the yellow is not something I am keen to do. As I mentioned, in raspbian there is a command to find the Raspberry Pi model, but alas it appears HA OS doesn’t have that option
