I am wondering if it were possible to identify the model of Raspberry Pi CM4 inside my Home Assistant Yellow without pulling it apart? I really don’t want to pull it apart… but want to know the model so I can order a similar CM4 unit for another project.
I know the Raspberry Pi model can be identified in the Raspbian command line, but haven’t been able to find a way to do it inside HA?
Visually NO, you would have to pull the heat sink off to see the chip underneath it. Plus there is heat sink compound or the alike to aid in cooling of it.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, that is what I am wanting to avoid. Disassembling the yellow is not something I am keen to do. As I mentioned, in raspbian there is a command to find the Raspberry Pi model, but alas it appears HA OS doesn’t have that option
Hey there. Great to hear from you. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with a nasty cancer, so my homelab has been shutdown. Which reminds me, I really need to put the yellow up for sale to find it a new home. Hope you find a solution to your question
