IKEA BILRESA dual button phantom events

I have several of the dual button remotes statically mounted that control some lights. I started to notice the lights coming on at weird times and checked the HA activity logs and it states there are events being triggered by the buttons. It’s not just one that does it; they all seem to be doing it at different times.

When I go to one of the buttons status page, this is what I see…

Notice that the events card shows the last “real” events (real people pressing them) correctly, but in the activity card it shows phantom events of the buttons being pressed, always preceded by the battery/firmware status events.

Why would HA show/track some events in the Events card and not the others?
Any clues on how to track these down?

Here is the actual yaml from the button 1 pressed once.

And here is the yaml for the button 2 press logged just after it

Even though both were logged in activity on 9/3 at 5:37am (local) it shows a translated from two days prior at 10:39pm for button 1 and even further for button 2.

So, I went back in the activity log to that original button 1 event, and this is what was captured, the exact same event…

This still continues to happen even after peppering my house with Thread Border Routers. I was thinking it was a thread retransmit or coverage issue.
So, I modified my automations to check the state of the event, which for these devices is the data/time of creation of the event. I then ignore any that are more than 90 seconds old.

          (utcnow() - as_datetime(states('event.casita_interbuilding_lights_dual_button_white_button_1'))).total_seconds() < 90
        or (utcnow() - as_datetime(states('event.guest_dual_button_white_button_1'))).total_seconds() < 90
        or (utcnow() - as_datetime(states('event.bilresa_dual_button_button_1'))).total_seconds() < 90
      }}

so far, so good.
