I wanted to share an issue I’ve run into with the IKEA DIRIGERA hub and a Paulmann Loria Zigbee bulb (CCT model, warm-to-cool white).
Here’s my setup:
- Hub: IKEA DIRIGERA (latest firmware, connected to HomeKit)
- Lamp: Paulmann Loria Zigbee bulb (white spectrum, not RGB)
- Apps: IKEA Home Smart app (v X.X.X) + Apple HomeKit
What works:
- The lamp pairs successfully with DIRIGERA.
- It appears in both the IKEA Home Smart app and Apple Home.
- On/off and brightness control work fine in both apps.
What doesn’t work:
- The color temperature slider is visible in the IKEA Home Smart app but changing it does nothing — the lamp doesn’t respond.
- In Apple Home, the lamp appears as a dimmable light only — there’s no color temperature control exposed to HomeKit.
It seems like DIRIGERA recognizes the bulb only as a generic dimmable Zigbee device (OnOff + Level clusters), but doesn’t expose or forward the ColorTemperature cluster (0x0300).
This makes sense since it’s not an official IKEA bulb, but it would be great if the hub could at least pass through basic CCT control for standard Zigbee Color Temperature devices.
Expected behavior:
- Ability to adjust color temperature (warm/cool white) from the IKEA Home Smart app and/or HomeKit.
- Full recognition of the bulb’s capabilities based on standard Zigbee clusters.
Why this matters:
This lamp works correctly on other Zigbee bridges (e.g., Philips Hue), where color temperature can be changed and is exposed properly in HomeKit. So it seems like a missing or incomplete Zigbee device mapping in the DIRIGERA firmware.
Would love to hear if anyone else has experienced the same with non-IKEA Zigbee lights, or if there’s a known workaround (e.g., future Matter bridge update?).
