hmm… interesting. Can I ask what version of HA you are running? And what hardware is your zigbee hub ?
I’m running Home Assistant 2023.2.3 with ZHA and a Conbee II usb dongle.
My remote is not able to control the blind any more - I am sad SOLVED:Need to mash the remote button while binding.
I can see all the devices are connected in the View Network
I tried Unbind group and re-Bind Group
I tried Reconfigure - but that always fails
I tried deleting blind, repeater and remote and re-adding/setting everything back up again
All without success. I can control the blind via Home Assistant - just not by using the remote.
When I press the remote I can see Home Assistant logging the event firing. It just seem like the binding isn’t working.
I don’t know what else to try. Any insights or suggestion would be welcome.
I should have look through the thread more carefully! The solution was there all the time! Thank you @smugleafdev
I lost the wireless controllers (the zigbee 2 button controller that i comes with) - anyone know if you can replace them / buy new ones and have it work still? thank you
You don’t need it. Mine has been out of battery for ages and was flakey with my setup anyway
My blondy connects like any other device and I control it with voice/another switch
Hello,
are you happy with your Fyrtur in combination with Homeassistant?
If I see well, I need the blind and the tradfi gateway. Is that correct?
Greetings,
Hendrik
I’m happy most of the time, tho I would buy a different blind if I did it again
No gateway is needed
Which one would you buy now?
I have somfy tahoma blinds everywhere else and overall they’re more reliable than the IKEA one for me
Don’t let me put you off tho, it’ll work for months on end without messing up, but it will randomly not find a route to the hub or something (even though there are other parts of the mesh right next to it), then I have to climb up and reset it
I just got my first blind today as a trial. Everything setup easily with z2m, other than trying to get the blinds to snap into the bracket. That was the worst part. Ha!
Is there a way to dynamically pass a percentage from Alexa to HA to control the blinds? I setup scripts/scenes for fully open and closed, but was wondering if there is a way to tell Alexa “set the blinds to 50%” where I’m using an arbitrary number. Or to say “lower the blinds 5%” and move them down 5%. Anything other than having to hardcode specific positions via scripts. Has anyone done that?
If you pass it as a blind to Alexa it should give you this by default. I’m using Zigbee2MQTT and can do this without issue
Make sure you set your top and bottom limits
Awesome, thanks. I haven’t been able to set a top limit. It doesn’t seem to respond to that. Only a bottom limit. Is it the same procedure to double press up, move it where I want it, and double press up again? I’ve tried that a bunch but it never responds with the move up and down to confirm.
Sorry that’s me typing while half asleep. There’s no top limit
