Hey all,
Im looking for some smart lighting options that can potentially connect to HA via bluetooth. Unfortunatly i need something that certified for NZ/AU for compliance/insurance reasons, so that leaves brands like ikea, aqara, hue etc.
I went to ikea the other day, and one of the sales people (not sure how knowledgable they were), was saying that their new bulbs (KAJPLATS) can be directly connected (upto 10 bulbs) to their wireless button (without any hub). He goes on to explain that the bulbs connect to the button via Bluetooth.
So, my first question is, assuming its true that KAJPLATS (and potentially any other IKEA smart lighting options?) connect to the button via BT, then can it not connect to HA via BT as well?
Secondly, are there any other lighting options that can connect to HA via BT?
for context, yes i know zigbee, thread etc etc. I use them. But i intend to put these lighting behind a smart switch that will cut power, so i dont want a zigbee/thread network node to constantly go offline often and cause the network instability. Im exploring the idea of using BT lighting to get around this problem.
