Noticed that the new release of the Matter server has experimental support for ICD, which helps with battery life. Anyone know if this affects IKEA Klippbok sensors? Because right now, the battery life on them varies wildly. Between a couple months and six months. Which for a Matter sensor, isn’t great. I’ve got Aqara door sensors that have been rolling for more than two years, so I don’t know why the Klippbok are so relatively bad.

I found that some Heiman and Aqara devices in my setup already support ICD management. Several IKEA sensors do not currently expose the feature.
So I think chances are small, but maybe you can try to find out by temporarily updating to the beta?
You can find the controls through the Matter Server Web UI, available from the Home Assistant sidebar or the Matter Server app page. The Nodes tab marks devices that report ICD support. Selecting the ICD label opens a “Power & Sleep” panel where you can review and change the supported battery-saving mode.
You can blame that one on the release notes of the Matter integration. I had to Google it, and the first attempts were unhelpful.
In case someone hasn’t checked… via Matter.js WebUI, the Klippbok’s are only supporting the regular Short Idle Time (SIT), as they only support Matter 1.3 whereas Long Idle Times generally aren’t supported until Matter 1.4.
