Ikea Styrbar remote for a group of Ikea bulb

Hi,
I paired the IKEA STYRBAR remote with a group of IKEA TRÅDFRI spotlights. The pairing completed successfully, but the remote doesn’t do anything. I previously paired an older IKEA remote with a bulb and it works perfectly, yet here nothing happens, even though I assigned the remote to the correct group and added LevelCtrl, OnOff, and Scenes.

edit: I would like to point out that if I link the remote to each bulb one by one, it tells me that the table is full after 10 boxes are checked among the spots (3 for spotlight 1, 3 for s2, 3 for s3 and only the OnOff option remains for spotlight 4… but I have 5 spotlights).

Is this a known issue, or am I missing something?
Thanks.

limited memory on the styrbar

True, but that’s not the answer to my question, which is why the remote control-group binding doesn’t work.

From the Zigbee2MQTT documentation:

IKEA has changed their firmware versioning after the original 1.0.0.24 leading to a notification “Firmware on … is newer than latest firmware online”, despite the online firmware being actually newer. Follow the instructions in this issue to force update the firmware. Note that the remote loses the capability to bind to a group in the latest firmware.

Indeed, thank you for the quote. The solution seems to be downgrading, what I’m doing for that takes 65 minutes! (with the Styrbar next to my HA)

After 1 hour (!!!), the old 1.0.24 version has been uploaded to Styrbar. Binding a group works now, but only if I don’t send too many requests! For example, if I dim down, I can dim up again after a few seconds. If I switch off/on/off/on, it stops working after one switch.
I should specify that all requests are received by HA and LQI > 150 for all devices.

Why not just use an automation, optionally with scenes to do what you want if the zigbee binding is not reliable ?

Maybe because I’m still a total newbie on HA and I have no idea what can (and can’t) be done
