Ikea water leak sensor firmware update unavailable

I just got 2 of the new Ikea water leak sensors (klippbok). They were both easily added to homeassistant. However, 1 of them shows firmware update unavailable. The other one was fine and I was able to update it, but the other one doesn’t seem to work. I reset it and added it again, but same behavior. Any ideas what’s going on?

Are you able to pair(i.e. commission) the device that does not update?
If yes, then it maybe it already has the 1.0.11 version firmware?

Do you get same error?

What do the Matter Server Logs reveal?
BTW, when I did the upgrade on my Klippbok, I did it near my HA OTBR.

Everything works in HA except the firmware update for some reason. It just said “unavailable” so it couldn’t figure out what version I was on or force update it.

To work around this, I reset it, joined it to my Apple Home, updated it there, then reset it and paired it back with HA. Now it can see the state properly and it says UpToDate instead of unavailable. I’ve read that if you wait a day or two, it will “fix” itself, but I just decided to go this route instead.

Maybe I have the same problem. All updates as of today are installed.

  1. new Klippbok connects with HA, everything OK
  2. HA device info says it has firmware 1.0.7, available 1.0.11
  3. I made it update to 1.0.11 - seemed to work
  4. Device info still says 1.0.7, and the configuration entity “firmware” says unavailable

I’m getting the same error, tried with four different Klippboks. Has anyone been able to update this firmware via HA?

I too have the same issue - i.e. device info shows as 1.0.7 - and initially once added (via ZBT-2 as OTBR), it shows as there is an update for 1.0.11 but update did not work. Now firmware shows as “unavailable”. Not able to track in the logs.
