Ikuu Zigbee Rotary Dimmer + Adaptive Lighting

Just wanted to leave something lying around for others to find. Hopefully I dropped it in the right spot.

To use a Mercator Ikuu Zigbee Rotary Dimmer with the Adaptive Lighting integration there’s a non-obvious way to configure it to get it working.

Basically the device HATES transition values. Whenever a transition value is passed it will ignore the entire command and do nothing. Thus it seems that Adaptive Lighting isn’t working.

The answer is to configure the Adaptive Lighting instance with a value of 0 for ALL transition fields. Voila! Now it adapts! (note that blanks don’t work in place of 0)
This means that you will want an AL instance that only deals with these devices so that you can keep your transitions working on other adapting lights.

This is confirmed for the Zigbee Rotary dimmer. It may also be relevant for other devices in the lineup such as the Wifi variants or the push-button variants.

Cheers
DG
