I'm trying to integrate an IMOU camera with openHAB. The camera works correctly in the IMOU app and VLC, but I cannot get a stable video stream in home assistant. Has anyone successfully integrated IMOU cameras using RTSP or ONVIF?

No, not necessarily. Imou has since been sold and is no longer a Dahua subsidiary. Consequently, not all Imou cameras use the same API as Dahua cameras anymore. That is precisely why I asked which specific Imou model is involved and what exactly is meant by "stable video stream."
And go2rtc doesn't really play a role here either, because a) it is now part of HA Core and thus used for camera streams by default, and b) it wouldn't change anything if there were issues with ONVIF or RTSP on the Imou camera.
What makes you say that Imou is no longer a subsidiary of Dahua? Since the spin-off, have there been any noticeable changes or impacts for customers using Imou products and services?

I can’t tell you that because I’m not interested, I don’t buy Imou products anymore, and I’ve never needed Imou support. 
In the past, I was only interested in which Imou OEM products were identical in construction to Dahua products and whether they used the Dahua API. That is precisely what no longer applies to all of today’s Imou products. That is why I am buying original Dahua products again, just as I have done for the past ten years or so.
But since you didn’t follow up on my question about exactly which Imou model is involved and what you mean by “stable,” I’m done with this topic now.
I have 2 imou wifi cameras for about 3 years now, haven't seen any changes till now. Don't know about more recent models.

How's its software features? I'm still torn between buying Dahua or Imou cameras.
What are you looking for exactly? ( What are your expectations?) I would recommend dahua, but make sure you get the international version. Because the Chinese version is only in Chinese and they don't usually get firmware update. But quality wise they are the same. Imou, I've got only wifi Chinese version but they work fine.

I'm pretty new to Home Assistant and have been trying to connect my Imou cameras.
I can see a few different methods mentioned around the forum (RTSP, ONVIF, etc.), but I'm not sure which one people are actually using day to day.
What I'm mainly looking for is:
Live view in Home Assistant、Motion alerts、Motion-based automations、A setup that's stable and doesn't need constant fixing

1、How did you connect them?
2、Are motion events working?
3、Any issues you've run into?
4、Would you set it up the same way again?
