Imou Life - cloud integration

I have used the oficial integration and it have worked fine for me. Just sirens don’t work.

Did someone managed to make camera preview work, i used hacs for Imou integration but i am not able to make camera preview.

I got a IMOU LooC camera. How can I see past recordings? When for example motion is detected?

I had an email conversation with IMOU Cloud Team and they confirmed that their integration supports cameras only. I need to automate smart plugs, however.

Hello,

I have confirmed that the current HA component only supports direct access for Imou cameras and does not yet support Imou smart socket devices.

However, this is already in the product planning, and in the future, we will gradually support the integration of Imou alarm kits, doorbells, door locks, and socket devices.

(P.S. If you have R&D capabilities, you can also try using our physical model interface for > secondary development to connect the Imou smart socket to HA. The documentation for the interface can be found at: IoT things data model · Development documentation)

Hi, just want to give an update on the status of the integration.

This integration (which is unofficial so not supported or validated by Imou or linked in any way to Imou) has been the result of the analysis of the public documentation and created before the vendor published its own official Home Assistant integration. Since this integration is based on information no more updated since 2021 it may not fully work with most recent devices and there is no way to support newer models since the documentation of the new APIs has not been made public by the vendor.

For this reason, I have decided to stop actively developing the integration. No new functionalities will be added or bugs fixed since it would require access to vendor’s APIs which are neither public nor documented.

Regardless, the integration is still supposed to work for those devices where it has been working so far. And I will keep the code up to date to ensure it will continue to run smoothly on newer version of Home Assistant (the latest version released just today should fix all the deprecation warnings you may have encountered during the last few months).

Hi @user2684, Firstly thanks for spending the time to create this, great job. If I don’t use the IMOU cloud service, and only record locally, am I still able to use this integration ?

~~my Cell2 doesnt work anymore with the integration. First i thought since 2025.10 release, but rollback doesnt help.~~

somehow, unfinable in imou cloud platform why, there was negative balance of 1 cent. Seemed to block everything…

have a request @user2684 , the battery sensor for the cel 2 does not have a device class. Would you mind adding battery to that? I try to find the right place, but should be around here i suppose?
