Can you give an example of what it is your trying to achieve as I am not sure it’s very clear what you are trying to do at this stage.
Prior to purchase, I want two scripts - turn off a device, turn it on. Then an automation to add trigger (time) and device.
I want times (on, off) and device/entity as variables to be included in all three sw items.
Is this possible please, if so how?
What schema does the variable definition take? Is it a script or … something else.
What form does the include take (in scripts and in automations).

Your indicated solution embeds variables into complete automations?
Should I assume this is not possible currently?
