Hi everyone! I’m new to Home Assistant, having just migrated everything over from a Vera. It’s working very nicely so far, with one glaring problem.
I have three plug-in dimmer modules. One is a Jasco 45602, and two are Linear PD300Z-2s.The issue with these dimmers is that any change I make is only partially reflected in the UI. For example, if I activate a scene that turns all three modules to 100% brightness, the lamps attached to them do indeed turn on and brighten to full. However, in the UI, I see each device receive two or three steps of incremental brightening. Like, it will go from Off to like 5%, then 40%, then stay there.
If I “refresh node” in the Z-Wave integration configuration, the UI updates.
I was able to alleviate the issue on the Jasco module by changing two of its config options:
“7 On/Off command dim step” to 99, and “8 On/Off command dim rate” to 1. Now it comes on and brightens quickly, which is fine. But the other two devices don’t have those config options. I’ve set their polling intensity to 1, where it was 0 before, but this has not helped.
Obviously, if HA doesn’t know these devices’ current levels, then it’s not that useful for me, so I’m hoping those familiar with Z-Wave can point me in the right direction here.
