Incorrect consumption data for a single month

Hi there,

this is not a configuration issue, but I could not find a better category.

I track my electricity consumption since last year at least, and I check the historical statistics every now on then. Last time I did that, I noticed something is off in April. My fridge and my microwave are supposed to have consumed 800 kWh instead of 40 kWh usually. This breaks the yearly statistics.

I don’t know what the cause is. Is there a way to fix or remove the bad data?

Thanks!

Yes.. Settings → Developer Tools → Statistics. Click the ramp icon next to your energy sensors and navigate to the time and date the outlier occurred. Replace it with an average of the before and after measurements.

Thank you @tom_l for the quick reply. I tried it out, but data of the sensor looks fine for March, April and May:

So the glitch must come from somewhere else.

Click the find outliers option in that ramp dialogue box.

Sorry, I should have followed your instructions from the beginning. That worked great, thank you!

Now you need to work out why it happened so you can prevent it happening again.

I would be indeed interested to know what caused it. But since it happened only twice in a year and it is easy to fix, it is not worth the effort currently.
