A few months back I swapped from using ZHA & ZBT-1 to zigbee2mqtt & ZBT-2 and I’ve noticed a large increase in battery use, particularly with one specific device - an IKEA Praktlysing Blind. Prior to the swap over the battery was lasting roughly a year - since the swapover, it’s now lasting only 1 month. Here’s the battery history:
Swapped over to ZBT-2 and Z2M in mid-December (yellow-line I added on graph), and as you can see, since then the battery life has been terrible.
Things that are the same:
- The rest of the hardware setup
- Position of controller
- Position of Blind and devices around the blind
- No new automations that would activate it more
- Blind is still connected via same router device next to it
Most of my battery devices are z-wave so it’s hard to be certain; a couple of others appear as though they’ve slightly increased battery usage, but nothing like this IKEA blind.
Is this something I’ve mis-configured / a known issue with these devices / a dying battery?
Would appreciate any suggestions for figuring this out (and ideally fixing it).
Thanks!
