Infrared Heating Panel Issue

Hey All,

I wanted to see if anyone else is having the issue I am having.

I decided to go for the Kiasa brand of Panel: https://kiasa.co.uk/products/720w-custom-image-infrared-heating-panel-with-remote

Way back in Jan of 2023, and frankly, I was super impressed, used the cloud-connected TUA integration, and it was working well. had it linked to my Google Nest and basically would turn on when below a temp, and off when above a temp ( I didn’t need to use the smartlife app, or the remotes ). This was all triggered by the presence in teh room they are in, motion to trigger on, and lack of presence to turn them off.

has been working like clockwork for years, and recently something has changed, and now the panels get “switched on” or “switched off” - you can hear the beep,

But they don’t “heat up” - the Tuya app, they just show as in standby, teh app has two other modes, “auto” and a “smart” mode.

These are not exposed in HA. But in teh Tuya app, if I go in, I can see teh panels are on, but need to now clock “auto” ( even if it’s already on “auto” ), and then you hear the beep AND a lil click, which indicates the panels are now actually heating.

I looked for ages in the cloud integration to solve this with no luck.

So I decided to try Tuya Local and Local Tuya - (which are two different integrations via hacks ) - very confusing naming btw.

And I still can’t find a way to trigger the panels and trigger the Auto mode to make sure the heating up of the panels actually triggers.

It was working SOOOOOO well, but now it needs this extra step that can’t be done in HA from what I can see.

Any ideas?
