Initial spike on energy dashboard during Energy configuration

Hi,

I just configured the energy grid consumption monitoring and I see there is an initial spike with the initial value in the energy configuration. This obviously is wrong and has side-effects in wrong price calculations and wrong statistics if I want to compare later to the current year. What is the most convenient way to correct this? (e.g. can I add some values in the past? or an initial start value of the meter?)

Thanks for you quick reply. I tried to use an utility meter, but I fail to add it as a source for grid consumption (maybe this is the root cause). Therefore, I use a template sensor as the source for grid consumption.
